The Town currently has a contract with Central Mass Disposal, Inc. to pick up curbside, bagged trash from approximately 2700 households each week. Pick-ups are done on Monday through Friday. MAJOR CHANGES IN CURBSIDE TRASH & RECYCLING If your scheduled pick-up day falls on any of the following holidays; New Year's Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas Day, or the collection is cancelled due to a snowstorm, your pick-up will take place on the next day. Snow cancellations will be announced on local radio stations WSRS-96.1 FM and WTAG-580 AM or call 1-800 467-2801 for updated snow delay information. If your trash is not picked up on your scheduled day please call 1-800-467-2801. Each household is currently generating about one ton of trash per year. Pick up is limited to bagged trash only. Materials that should obviously be in recycling (such as corrugated cardboard) will not be picked up. There is also a trash dumpster located at the Recycling Center which is primarily for large household items such as mattresses, tables, rugs, chairs, tables, etc. Curbside Trash Regulations (Word format) Curbside Trash Regulations (PDF format)
